Salesperson

Arild Kvangarsnes

I work as a procurer in Coast Seafood AS, Norway’s largest freestanding exporter of salmon and trout.
My main task is to continuously map the supply of fish. This involves retrieving information from the production line, such as quantitative data, average weight, quality, certifications, logistics and various services. The work is culminating on Fridays, which is the big sales day in the industry. At this time we physically buy the fish to be slaughtered for us the following week.
In addition to this, I also work with statistical analysis and handle complaints regarding the fish.

The personal relations with our collaborators is very important to maintain. We rely on close and good cooperation with salmon producers along the Norwegian coast. This often means daily contact with those who make decisions in Norway’s most forward-looking industry. It is a privilege to work with so many nice and inspiring people.
